More Important Than a Bargain

Posted on Jul 17, 2012 by in Legacy |

I guess I missed the memo.
I have more important things to do.
I am glad you got to do it,
but I was needed then.

Sometimes it is not worth
the effort to get a freebie.
Time is finite
and I plan to use it accordingly.

I can’t always get the best deal
but I try my best.
I won’t always make it to the sale
but I will survive.

As long as I have what I need at home,
why does it matter?

As long as I have food to make for dinner,
my family and I will be thankful.

It was good to see you
and I am glad you got the deal.
Maybe next time I will have nothing better to do
and I can meet you at the sale.
