Organic Road Bumps
I am finding it hard to fit my original organic plan into our budget. After much research, I have compiled a list of hormone-free, natural (hormone-free, antibiotic-free, and vegetarian diet), and organic companies. I also have a list at the bottom for companies I have found that cannot stick by their products. Far and wide, I have window shopped at Whole Foods, BJ’s, Target, Aldi, and Shop Rite comparing the prices of their “natural” products. I have yet to venture out to Trader Joe’s for they are a further drive from my home.
I have found that Whole Foods may have more rare products, but their prices are not any better than other supermarkets. Also, more and more supermarkets are advertising natural products and having decent sales on them. I would like to always be able to buy organic milk, but for us, it is not feasible. We will have to settle for what we can afford right now. The best we can do is to buy hormone-free milk. By supporting more natural companies, we will be doing our best to help out the smaller farms who are trying to stick to God’s way of treating animals. We really wish we could fully go organic, but for now, we will buy the most natural products we can to stay healthy and free of unnatural substances.
